Tottenham will host Arsenal at Wembley Stadium Saturday’s North London derby. The Gunners appeared to be in great shape as they have won 5 of their last 6 Premier League matches. Bournemouth were their last victim as they hammered them with a 5-1. Tottenham, on the other hand, have lost two successive league matches and now need to look over their shoulder with Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea closing in. So what is going to happen this afternoon? Many goals of course. There have been over 2.5 goals scored in 11 of Arsenal‘s last 13 away Premier League games. Tottenham can also contribute to that. But we think that the Spurs will win in the end.
Burnley are hosting Crystal Palace this afternoon. The home team are unbeaten in their last four matches at Turf Moor and will hope to extend that streak today. It won’t be easy though. Crystal Palace have scored at least 2 goals in 5 of their last 6 away Premier League matches. Given that is rather hard to make any kind of prediction about this match. Except of course the “safe” choice of “BTTS”. Works just fine for us.
Stoke are hosting Nottingham Forest this afternoon at Bet365 Stadium. They have drawn their last 3 league matches. They are facing a very difficult opponent. Nottingham Forest have put themselves right into the thick of the play-off race as they beat rivals Derby 1-0. The Reds are now just three points behind Bristol City in sixth. There have been under 2.5 goals in each of Stoke City’s previous three league fixtures. and we expect this streak to continue. We also believe that Nottingham Forest can win this game.
Walsall win against Bradford City last weekend ended their run of consecutive defeats, and also make them feel more sure about their future in the league. They extended their distance from the relegation zone to four points. They just know that a second away win since October would make them more confident for the rest of the season. Burton are pretty much in the same condition. Despite they are nine points from the relegation zone, they just can’t be sure. So they need to win today. We think both teams can do it, so we will pick over 2.5 for our betslips.
Carlisle have a lot more at stake than their hosts this afternoon. So they have to attack from the beginning if they want to take the three points from their trip to South Wales. And maintain their play-off ambitions. Newport County were in a really bad form against MK Dons, so naturally, they lost 2-0. they only made two shots the whole game. They have to change it if they want to take something from today’s match. We believe the can score.
Barcelona have won 10 of their last 12 league matches. But most important, they eliminated their rivals in the semi-final stages of the Copa del Rey. And if they win tonight they will end Real Madrid’s dreams for a domestic title this season. It is not going to be easy though. Los Blancos are expected to react at the second El Clasico of the week. But can they win? It’s a game in which literally everything can happen. So we will bet on over 3.5 goals because we strongly believe that both teams can score more than once.
If Porto wins tonight they will be the champions for this season. They will have a four points lead and a very easy schedule till the end. They are not in their best form though. But Benfica is. Since the arrival of the new manager, they are crashing all kinds of rivals with an outstanding 33-5 goal record. Given the quality of both teams, we predict that both of them can win, more than once.
