Schalke will face Leipzig at VELTINS-Arena in what is expected to be one of the most interesting matches of the day. Schalke sacked Domenico Tedesco after they were hammered by Manchester City for UEFA Champions League. They have five defeats on the row and the need to stop this, or else they will be relegated. But it is very difficult to happen this afternoon. Leipzig are unbeaten in their last seven Bundesliga matches and are on the right path to qualify for next season’s Champions League. They are a better team in a good form and they could take the away win.
Burnley will host Leicester at Turf Moor this afternoon. Burnley have lost their last three Premier League matches and are now only two points above the relegation zone. They need to act real fast if they want to stay out of trouble. Leicester City proved their worth in the triumph over Fulham and now they are aiming to build on this win. A hard match to call, so we will avoid choosing a side. We prefer to put the Over 2.5 goals option on our betslip. After all, there have been over 2.5 goals scored in Leicester‘s last 5 league games.
Sheffield Wed will host Blackburn at Hillsborough Stadium on Saturday afternoon. The Owls have a 10 matches unbeaten run and they need to extend it if they care about joining the play-offs group of teams. They are in great form and they managed to keep a clean sheet in 5 of their last 7 home matches. The timing is by their side. They will face Blackburn. The Riversiders ended a streak of eleven matches without a win by beating Wigan in midweek. By they still are in terrible condition. A home win is predicted here.
Luton Town will host Gillingham at Kenilworth Road and they are ready for another win that will bring them closer to automatic promotion. They are holding a five-point advantage at the top of the table and it looks like they are going to return in Championship real soon. Gillingham, on the other hand, are right in the thick of a relegation dogfight that still encompasses almost half of the clubs in League One. They need to ensure they collect a few more wins before the end of the season to be safe from the drop. But it’s not going to happen today.
Wolves will host Manchester United tonight at Molineux Stadium for FA Cup quarter-finals. Wolves are in great shape. They have lost only one of their last 11 matches in all competitions. Especially at home, they haven’t lost since the start of January. And even more, they seem to enjoy causing troubles to big-six teams. Tonight they want to eliminate Manchester United. It won’t easy though. They will fight for the title and we mustn’t forget that they have won 8 of their last 9 FA Cup matches. It’s a game that’s really tough to take a side. So we will pick the Both teams to score option here.
