Mane leaves Bayern! Is a Liverpool return in the cards?

Bayern fans were ecstatic when Sadio Mane joined their team last June. He was seen as the perfect replacement for Robert Lewandowski. But things went south fast. He dealt with injuries and once he was okay to play, he was involved in an incident that is unlike him. After the defeat to Manchester City, he punched his teammate, Leroy Sane, in the face, gave him a bleeding lip and the whole team turned against him. He is now on the verge of leaving and Liverpool might be among the suitors.

Mane was adored by Liverpool fans in the six years he spent with the club, but last summer he decided it was time for him to go. He joined Bayern, signing a 3-year contract. But after hitting his teammate, he lost the team’s trust. The rest of the squad is against him and the board is ready to force him out of the club.

It is expected that many European clubs will join the race to sign him and Liverpool, his previous team, might be among them. It is still too early to see if this could happen, but rumours have been flying around.

Fans certainly want to see him wearing Liverpool’s shirt once again and time will tell if he will be in Jurgen Klopp’s plans. Klopp himself recently hinted towards Liverpool pulling out of the Jude Bellingham transfer race.

Other teams that might try to sign Mane, according to what we know for now, are Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain, and Arsenal.
