NBA Championship Odds: Celtics favoured to win it all

After watching the current NBA champions Golden State Warriors being eliminated from the rest of the tournament after the Lakers’ fantastic display, the Conference Finals are on and ready to exact the champions who will meet in the NBA Finals. Each odds update hides many new clues, but one thing is for sure: the Boston Celtics and the Denver Nuggets are the huge favourites, competing against two teams that came through the play-in tournament but completed some huge upsets.

The Boston Celtics’ odds are at 1/1. The team needed a game 7 to eliminate the very passionate Philadelphia 76ers, with Embiid ready to prove that he is the MVP, Jayson Tatum took off with 51 points though, ending Doc Rivers’ side hopes. Having the home-court advantage until the Finals means that Celtics will always be the No.1 favourites.

The LA Lakers improved a lot mid-season, with the trades revitalising their whole point of view, transforming them from a non-playoff team to championship contenders. Throwing the Golden State Warriors out of the tournament is always something to brag about, especially when they are the first West Conference team to do such a thing in the current era. The LA Lakers have 3/1 odds to reach the promise land.

Last but not least, the Miami Heat stated in this postseason that they always fight until the end. Their ups and downs belong to the past as Jimmy Butler and his teammates have already eliminated the Milwaukee Bucks and the New York Knicks. Their 13/1 odds mean that we can not sleep on them.
