Newcastle is ready to spend big – Raphinha will return to England
Newcastle is ready to return to the Champions League since 2002/2003 so the owners changed the spending policy, as they are ready to attract big names ahead of a tougher season. The initial plan was to count on the team’s sales to balance the financial part. But Eddie Howe convinced them otherwise with his players smashing Tottenham 6-1 in St James Park, boosting a top-four finishing even more.

As it has been reported, the Magpies set their eyes on Brazilian winger, Raphinha, who moved to Barcelona just a year ago for a respectful amount of money. It seems his style does not fit what Lewandowski needs for his co-attackers, having the space to feel free. Raphinha arrived from Leeds United, but he seems not happy in his role, despite playing 41 times this season. He already scored on 9 occasions, assisting the same amount of goals, but something has to change. Blaugrana have many financial issues, failing to meet regularly with the FFP regulations, so Xavi will see many of his players leaving the team in the summer.
Eddie Howe always sets his eye on the future and he is ready to pull the trigger, bringing in Newcastle a Turkish young duo: the 18-year-old midfielder Arda Guler and the 23-year-old right back Kadioglu, who both have already represented their country. The British club has already sent scouts to Fenerbahce’s matches, knowing that a fee of around 40 million pounds for both of them would be ideal.
Howe couldn’t be happier with his current roster, which also played in the final of the Carabao Cup (they lost 2-0 to Manchester United back in February). He needs though more solutions if he wants to invest successfully in what he achieved this season. There are more to come in a very interesting summer for the fans.
