Chairperson, Helen Walton (CCO & Founder, g.games) greeted all in attendance and set the tone by reflecting on the successes of the previous day and emphasising the importance of networking and knowledge-sharing for industry growth. The first panel followed, giving attendees an update on the coming regulatory changes for iGaming in Italy. Expert moderator, Giulio Coraggio (Advocate/Partner, DLA Piper), summarised the anticipated changes and called on legal and compliance experts, Stefano Sbordoni (Founder/Partner, Sbordoni Studio Legale) and Michele Butturini (Co-Founder, BM-Value) to discuss how these changes might impact the operators in the coming months.
Led by Dustin Plantholt, the Count of MonteCrypto, the second panel explored the impact of digital assets on iGaming, with local experts Daniele Tagliarini (Advisor, DTC Advisory) and Enrico Giancaterina (MD, Funtech Games) sharing insights on the Italian market and Yanislav Malahov (Founder, æternity) and Prof. Dr Konstantina Papathanasiou (Professor of Economic Criminal Law, Universität Liechtenstein) offering global perspectives. Attendees enjoyed a special lunch of local cuisine on the stunning rooftop terrace with a view over Rome during the break, providing an excellent setting to network and form new partnerships. Alexis Wicén (CEO/Founder, Unibo) gave an acclaimed presentation on using gamification to increase player engagement and loyalty. The day ended with a panel discussion on the future of iGaming moderated by Wicén with experts including Daniele Tagliarini, Terence Cassar and Liam Mulvaney (B2B Specialist), discussing the promising future of iGaming with advancements in payments and technology.
Helen Walton delivered the closing remarks, congratulating the success of the inaugural event. OCSI 2023 brought together C-suite executives with the purpose of connecting, learning, and growing together.
