Arteta has decided on the Gnabry transfer

Gnabry may have left Arsenal in 2016 to search for regular playing time, but the return of the prodigal son is considered a serious possibility lately. Mikel Arteta has monitored the situation since last year, but the players signed a new contract with Bayern Munich. His excessive wage demands made it impossible to return to England and Bayern is a tough negotiator too.

Arsenal’s return to Champions League football is helping the team invest much in the transfer market and Gnabry is considered as a top target from Arteta, who keeps pushing despite the Gunners casting their eyes elsewhere. His long-standing interest and the green light that Arsenal has been given made the situation more serious for the English side.

Having just finished his fifth season at Bayern Munich, the 27-year-old struggled a lot in this Bundesliga campaign and a new chapter is at the gates. Thomas Tuchel failed to convince his players, winning the Bundesliga in the last minutes of the final matchday, thanks to Musiala’s late goal at Koln.

Bayern will have to decide on the current roster, as major directors such as Oliver Kahn and Hasan Salihamidžić have been fired recently. Gnabry is up for sale alongside Leroy Sane and Sadio Mane in this rebuilding which will take place in Bavaria in the next couple of months. Gnabry’s price is set at almost 50 million pounds and Bayern will not discuss for less than that.

Arteta though is ready to spend much in order to compete again for the Premier League title, but the North Londoners aim also for a great Champions League run. The current transfer speculations set the tone for many changes in almost every major European roster, keeping our summer busy despite the lack of matches.
