The season is over and could not be worse for Liverpool. The Reds and the 2022/2023 campaign without winning any trophy, were also unable to finish in the top-4 of the Premier League for the first time since 2016. The team needs a serious refreshing on the defensive end, so Klopp and executives have already set the transfer plan in motion.

West Ham’s defender and World Cup semi-finalist with the Moroccan national team, Nayef Aguerd is heavily linked with a move to Merseyside in maybe the first action of the newly appointed sporting director, Jorg Schmadtke, who has already set himself in the service of the club.

West Ham will compete in the Europa Conference final against Fiorentina next Wednesday in a chance to lift a European trophy.

A price of less than 40 million pounds can persuade West Ham to sell the 27-year-old defender who will be in favour of a transfer to Liverpool than to Tottenham, which is also interested in his services. The ball is on Klopp’s side to prove that Liverpool can be better next season.
