Man United is ready to pull the trigger and sign one of the Serie A sensations. Erin Ten Hag decided that buying Kim Min-Jae in this prize is something that no one would say “no”. The release clause in the player’s contract means that the Red Devils will only have to pay a small amount of his current value.

Kim Min- Jae arrived last summer in Naples after a fantastic season in Turkey and Fenerbahce. He adapted fast to what Spalletti wanted, making a huge impact on Napoli’s recent success. The Italian reached the Champions League quarter-finals, but most importantly won the Serie A title for the first time in almost 30 years.

Ten Hag thinks that Min-Jae could add much to Man United’s defensive end, as there are not many alternatives to Raphael Varane left. Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof have been linked with moves away from Manchester. Both of them had a couple of tough seasons and don’t want to sit on the bench much more. They and the club are frustrated about their cooperation. Seeing either of them being sold means that Man United will collect the funds needed to earn both Napoli’s and Min-Jae’s approval to turn the player into a Red Devil this summer.

All this info pushes Man United to move fast. The player’s valuation is almost 100 million pounds, but United can buy him for a price between 40 million pounds and 60 million pounds – almost at half. This release clause will be off after the first two weeks of July, with Napoli being unable to convince the defender to a new deal.

Manchester United have already held talks with Kim’s agents over a potential move, though they’re not the only English club interested in him, with both Liverpool and Newcastle United also keen. For a player that has reportedly stated that a move to Premier League is a dream, all these speculations could not come at a better time.
