Croatia’s defence is notoriously hard to crack and nobody can argue with the quality Luka Modric brings to the table.
Nikola Vlasic is doubtful for Croatia vs Canada. Mario Pasalic is expected to get the nod to start, while Marko Livaja is also expected to replace Andrej Kramaric in the Starting XI.

Canada had an impressive qualifying campaign to get to the World Cup for the second time in the team’s history. Those who had seen Canada compete were expecting a fresh and promising squad but argued that it might just be too early for them to shine. Cyle Larin might be introduced into the Starting XI, replacing Junior Hoilett, as 39-year-old captain Atiba Hutchinson will win his 100th cap for Canada, the first player to do so for his nation.
