FA Cup Predictions: Scoring is the only option

FA Cup Predictions

We are heading towards the third day of the marathon called the FA Cup fourth round. Yesterday was the main course and today is the best part: the desert. Brighton vs Liverpool is what most people want to see, there is more on today’s fixtures. The Premier League clash though is my first choice, in the aftermath of Brighton’s fantastic display two weeks ago.

Brighton vs Liverpool Prediction

What would I add to this much? We are watching two teams having the exact opposite from in 2023. Brighton continues to dream of a European ticket for the next season and at the same time, Liverpool should not hope for a recovery soon. The club seems disoriented in every aspect of its football life. Last weekend, the 0-0 draw against Chelsea proved that Klopp and his players lost their imagination, playing too scared at this point.

On the contrary to these disappointing performances, De Zerbi managed to build a very serious squad, which scores much (almost 2 goals per game) and fights for every available point. He was capable of finding new stars in the face of Mitoma and Ferguson, stating that the recent 3-0 win versus Liverpool was not a surprise.

Despite their huge differences in mentality, I firmly believe Liverpool will find the net. My choice is an anytime score of 1:1, as both teams will bounce back if they concede.

Wrexham vs Sheffield United Prediction

A battle between two teams that differ a lot. The legendary Racecourse opens its gates to host a team that heads to the Premier League via a direct promotion. Sheffield United is currently second in the Championship after Jebbinsons’ early scoring against Hull City. The visitors remain unbeaten since the restart and they are the only countable rival to Burnley’s fantastic season.

On the other hand, everyone in Wrexham lives in Paul Mullins’ reality. The English striker has already scored 20 times this season, leading his team into direct promotion to League, after they leapfrogged Notts County in the National League standings. I want to add that the Welsh team scores at ease, as Parkinson’s also proved in the huge 3-4 win versus Coventry City in the 3rd round of the competition.

Sheffield United is of course not at the level of Coventry. The Blades are very serious this season and Wrexham should not be a problem due to their quality distance. Even though a visitors’ win is my preferable scenario, I predict that it will arise through many goals.
