European Thursdays do not have the glamour that Tuesdays and Wednesdays have. The Champions League was and is the kind of European football, but for betting purposes, there is often more value in the Europa and Conference League matchups. Out of 32 matches tonight, I picked two to focus on: Roma vs Betis and Arsenal vs Bodo/Glimt. So let’s get going.
Paulo Dybala is the new King of Rome. No, I guess the right term is Emperor, right? The Argentinian winger was incredible last weekend and led Jose Mourinho’s team to a big victory against Inter in Milan. Roma, reigning Champions of the Conference League, remain 4 points behind Napoli and Atalanta and dream of something big in Serie A.
When it comes to their Europa League results so far, Roma started off awfully, with an unexpected defeat in Bulgaria, versus Ludogorets, but followed that with an emphatic 3-0 against HJK. Roma’s big goal is the league, so we might see them drop some international games.
Betis are equally as impressive. They are a true all-for-one team. There is no club in the world that will have an easy evening against them. Especially offensively, Betis are fear-inducing. After scoring in 9 straight games, this stopped last weekend, when they lost 1-0 to Celta, but for this to happen they had to be reduced to ten men in the first 10 minutes.
It is a disrespect to the quality of Real Betis to find them valued as absolute underdogs. This is an opportunity to bet on high odds.
Roma vs Betis Picks:
Both Teams to Score @1.80
X2 Double Chance @2.07
There are only three letters that come to mind when watching this Arsenal team play. Wow. Just wow. Mikel Arteta’s youngsters are absolutely fearless and there is a reason why they are on top of the Premier League standings two months into the season. Their latest victim was their biggest rivals: Tottenham. The question is whether they will be able to maintain that level of play when playing every 3-4 days. What we expect today is a heavy rotation.
As for Bodo/Glimt, they came back from the international break with a bang. They dominated the away game with Lillestrom, winning 4-1. They score when they want and they will probably play with their best XI on the field.
We are following the same recipe as with the Roma vs Betis game to make a double pick on the best bonus sites.
Arsenal vs Bodo/Glimt Picks:
Both Teams to Score @1.85
X2 Double Chance @4.20
